What exactly does the Skroutz XML module do?
The module automatically generates the data file (XML Feed) required by Skroutz to display your products. It creates a unique link (URL), which you submit to your Skroutz Merchant account; through this link, the platform pulls your product titles, prices, images, and stock levels on a daily basis.
Is it compatible with Smart Cart (Skroutz Cart)?
The XML feed is the fundamental requirement for joining Skroutz, whether you use Smart Cart or not. However, to receive orders directly into Magento from Skroutz, you typically need additional functionality (Marketplace Integration). This specific module ensures that your products are correctly displayed and consistently updated.
How are products with sizes/colors (Configurable) displayed?
Skroutz requires every variation (e.g., each shoe size) to appear as a separate entry in the XML, while being grouped under the same product. The module handles this automatically: it 'breaks down' Configurable products into Simple products within the XML, while maintaining the Group ID to ensure that availability per size is displayed correctly.
